NICHQ's Tracy Munro Honored for Role in Helping Marathon Bombing Victim

September 16, 2013

Jane Richard

NICHQ is proud to share that the Knights of Columbus in Beverly, Massachusetts has awarded Tracy Munro the 2013 "Keepers Award" for her part in helping 7 year old Jane Richard after the bombs went off at the finish line of the Boston Marathon April 15.

“Congratulations Tracy. You have been selected to receive the 2013 Keepers Award," said a Knights of Columbus spokesperson. "The Keepers Award is given annually by the Beverly Knights of Columbus to that person or persons who have proven by their actions that they are indeed their brother's keeper. Your actions on the 15th of April when you came to the aid and succor of Jane Richard proves that you, despite the potential danger, are willing to be the one who comes to the aid of others, you are one of the angels who watch over your fellow man."

You can learn more about Tracy's and Jane's story in an interview on CBS Evening News.

The award will be delivered on September 27 at a "Knight Out" fundraising event for the Richards family. Tracy is NICHQ's operations coordinator and executive assistant to our CEO.
