Celebrate National Quality Month By Taking Action to Increase the Priority of Children's Health

In celebration of October as National Quality Month (NQM), there are several easy steps you can take to increase the priority of children’s health:
- Serve as an advocate for child health in the community by getting involved with organizations like NICHQ’s Childhood Obesity Action Network (COAN)—a web-based national network aimed at rapidly sharing knowledge, successful practices and innovation in preventing and treating childhood obesity. - Commit to one activity that encourages quality in children’s health, like the upcoming NICHQ Q-call, Understanding the 2008 AAP Lipid Guidelines: Lipid Screening and Cardiovascular Health in Childhood, or submitting a proposal for NICHQ’s 8th Annual Forum.
- Write to Congress with a request to make children’s healthcare a priority:
