About Be Our Voice

As part of the Mobilizing Healthcare Professionals as Community Leaders in the Fight Against Childhood Obesity program, the National Initiative for Children’s Healthcare Quality (NICHQ) created the Be Our Voice campaign to engage healthcare professionals as the voice of children in the fight against childhood obesity, ensuring that this collective voice is heard by legislators who make and enforce the rules and regulations that affect children's health.

We hope through the resources and tools found here, you will join our Be Our Voice campaign, utilize our advocacy training tools and technical assistance, and make real changes in your communities and in the health of children everywhere.

Mobilizing Healthcare Professionals as Community Leaders in the Fight Against Childhood Obesity is a project of NICHQ, in cooperation with the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the California Medical Association Foundation (CMA-Foundation), and the Robert Wood Johnson Center to Prevent Childhood Obesity (CPCO), to reverse the childhood obesity epidemic trend across the nation by training, supporting and providing technical assistance to healthcare professionals in becoming advocates for change within their communities. It is funded through a $3.25 million grant awarded to NICHQ from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF).
