Caring for Children with ADHD: A Resource Toolkit for Clinicians (2nd Edition)
In 2009, NICHQ partnered again with the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and their Quality Improvement Innovation Network (QuIIN) to develop an updated version of the toolkit, in English and Spanish, based on the newly revised AAP ADHD guidelines. These revised guidelines included an expanded scope of ages from 4 to 18 years.
The 2nd edition of the toolkit was published in November 2011. You can purchase Caring for Children with ADHD: A Resource Toolkit for Clinicians (2nd Edition) from the AAP Bookstore.
Please note that NICHQ does not have free copies of the revised toolkit to distribute. Interested clinicians must visit the AAP Bookstore to purchase a copy of the 2nd Edition.
Caring for Children with ADHD: A Resource Toolkit for Clinicians (1st Edition)
In 2002, NICHQ partnered with North Carolina’s Center for Child Health Improvement and the American Academy of Pediatrics to develop Caring for Children with ADHD: A Resource Toolkit for Clinicians (1st Edition).
This toolkit was created by applying sound principles of chronic care management to ADHD cases—namely, involving families in a total care program, tracking the results of our studies, using evidence as the basis for establishing guidelines and coordinating care among various caregivers.
Please note that the 1st edition of the toolkit is available in English only.
